Orks and Ash - my current projects

I'm not sure why I don't post about my projects here immediately, but I guess when I finally do get around to it I have a collection of videos to share. These latest projects are all vehicular in nature. The first being the Deathmobile from Army of Darkness (an old Leading Edge Games miniature) and the second being a group of 11 Ork Bikes.

Mordheim Warband on the Block

Mordheim Undead

I put another item up on the auction block. This time it's a Morheim Warband.

This warband was painted right when the game was brand new. I used it many times. The paint job is decent, but was really painted to get it out on the table more than to make it a showpiece. I still like the ghouls, though.

Anyway, if you're interested, be sure to check out the auction on eBay.

Items for auction...

I've decided that I need to update my video equipment again, so I am starting to dig through my collection of minis to find things to help me in my quest. This will actually be my 4th upgrade (and my first real video camera). I really want to keep improving my videos and I think that they only way to do that is to invest in the equipment to do that.

The first batch of minis up for auction are my Old West collection. These are all minis that I painted in order to play Warhammer Historical's Old West mini rules. Actually, I originally just painted them for fun, then rebased them to work in that rules set.

So, go check out the auctions. The starting bids are pretty low compared to what I would charge to paint these on commission.

Painting a Dropzone Commander Army (updated)

In my recent video interview I specifically called out my interest in painting an army for Dropzone Commander. It wasn't long after that I got my wish and started work on a Post Human Republic for one of my regular clients. As usual, I started a video series on the project and I will embed them below, but I wanted to talk a bit about the process as a whole before I do that.

Thinning hobby paints for airbrushing

About a year ago I created this video where I talked about how I, up to that point, would thin hobby paints for airbrushing. Since then, it has become one of the most watched videos on my channel. The interesting thing, though is that in the intervening year I pretty much completely changed how I thin my hobby paints.
