So what's been goin' on?
With all of the things that I do to reach out on the interwebs I sometimes neglect this site. Which is weird because if there's one place on the web that I can call my very own this is it. I guess the truth of it is that a personal web page has a lot harder time finding an audience than a Twitter feed, a Flickr pool, or a Tumblr site. Those things all have a built in audience to draw from if you know how to tap them. So I have a tendency to follow the traffic and this place turns into a ghost town.
So what has been going on? Well, I've been a bit more focused on personal and store-related projects recently. But that doesn't mean that I'm not doing commission work. In fact, I've been doing a lot of interesting and different types of projects. For example, I got to paint a Great Turtle Battlemech. This was the first Battletech miniature that I've painted in years. It also got me geared up to paint a full lance of them for my son's tournament. I also painted up several Doom miniatures from the original Reaper line. Looks like more of those are on the way as well.
I'm really hoping to continue to have time working on my own stuff. The new 6th ediition Warhammer 40k rules are a nice change and I look forward to playing them. The escalation league that we're running at the store even gives me a chance to build my army as I play and not feel like I need to rush to get stuff done.
Oh, and I got a new computer so that I can do more with my videos. It turns out that it's also a really good game machine. As if I needed more things to compete for my time...
